Members and staff preparing for the Irish Wheelchair Association Annual Fundraising Day on Thursday 25 September.
Irish Wheelchair Association's Annual Fundraising Day is taking place in Louth and across Ireland next Thursday 25 September. Members and volunteers will be hitting the streets collecting vital funds for the supports and activities IWA provides in Louth and across the country.
Annual Fundraising Day is IWA’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Fundraising collections will be taking place around the country, from Louth to Kerry and beyond.
Irish Wheelchair Association hopes to raise €60,000 to support the organisation’s work. IWA’s work nationwide is dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in communities to live a life full of choice, independence, and joy. The organisation relies on donations to develop, grow, and continue to support its members who want to be active, social, independent, and advocate for their rights.
Breige McGinn, Head of Fundraising at Irish Wheelchair Association, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to all the members, volunteers, and staff who support IWA on our Annual Fundraising Day each year – as well as our generous supporters across the country.
"Without them, it would not be possible to raise these vital funds. Many volunteers and staff are organising collections in their local communities, and their support for our members makes a huge difference every year. Thanks to the support for our Annual Fundraising Day, IWA can continue supporting our members to live independently, advocate for their rights, and develop their potential in our young adult services.”
Selected Aldi stores across Louth will have on-street collections on Thursday 25 September, to support IWA’s Annual Fundraising Day. People can make a donation at an on-street collection, or donate anytime at www.iwa.ie/donate
