IJM Staff
IJM Timber Engineering, a stalwart in the timber construction industry with facilities in Louth and Monaghan, proudly celebrated its 60th anniversary last week, marking six decades of innovation, growth, and partnership.
The milestone was honoured with a special evening at the picturesque Castle Leslie Estate, where IJM welcomed many of Ireland’s leading house builders, suppliers, and partners to recognise their vital role in the company’s journey.
The celebration was a reflection of IJM’s deep appreciation for the relationships that have helped shape its success.
Guests enjoyed a warm and festive atmosphere, with heartfelt speeches and shared memories highlighting the company’s evolution from its early days to its current leadership in timber frame construction.
Earlier this summer, IJM hosted a family-focused celebration at Monaghan Rugby Club, an organisation the company proudly sponsors. Employees and their families came together for a joyful day of food, entertainment, and community spirit.
Today, IJM employs over 250 people directly across its Monaghan and Dundalk facilities, with an additional 120 subcontractors working on site.

The Dundalk facility is now entering its final phase of development, with operations steadily scaling toward full production.
Looking ahead, IJM has ambitious plans to expand its Monaghan site by 80,000 sq. ft on a 4.5-acre plot located opposite its current headquarters.
The expansion is expected to be completed by 2026, reinforcing IJM’s commitment to growth and long-term investment in the region.
