Two males, both aged in their 30s, were arrested and are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda station in County Monaghan
Gardaí and Detectives attached to the Monaghan/Cavan Division and Monaghan Community Engagement Unit carried out a targeted operation on Tuesday 30 September 2025, in County Monaghan in relation to the suspected theft of industrial copper and cable.
In a statement this morning, Gardaí say that as part of the operation, searches were conducted at three locations, including residential properties and adjoining lands across Co. Monagan.
Two males, both aged in their 30s, were arrested and are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda station in County Monaghan.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
