Plans are underway for 20 new apartments at John Street in Dundalk, with a planning application lodged with the local planning authority in recent days.
Alzach Ltd has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development, seeking the go ahead for the demolition of existing commercial building and boundary walls and construction of a multi-storey apartment building containing 20 dwelling units.
The proposed dwelling units comprise one, three-bedoom; 15 two-bedroom; and four one-bedroom units.
The planning application also provides for items including: waste storage rooms, bicycle storage room and bulky store area, external landscaping, communal garden area, new boundary treatments, connection to public services and all associated site development works.
A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 27 November, with submissions due by 6 November.
