Beloved wife of Paddy and proud mother to Rebecca and Adam. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mary Byrne and her brother-in-law Bernard. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughter, son, sister Angela, adored grandson Isaac, her niece and nephew Lorraine and Brian, daughters-in-law Michelle and Claire and her extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Sr Malachy (Carmel) Mathews FMSA Mount Oliver Convent and late of Seatown Gardens, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully in the kind and gentle care of the staff in St. Francis Nursing Home, Mount Oliver. Predeceased by her parents Thomas & Elizabeth, sisters Bernadette & Eithne, brothers Dick, Tom, Brendan, Fintan, Leo and recently Colm. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her brother Desmond, her Community sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday 21st at 11 o’clock in the Convent Chapel Mount Oliver Dundalk, followed by burial in the community cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Niall E. Kehoe Dixons Funeral Home.

On 18 October 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Philomena, loving mother of Eleanor (Glenn), Francis (Julieann) and the late Stephen and Christina (Patrick) and wife of the late Frank. Devoted grandmother to Patrick, Glen, Francis, Brógán, Ben, Evelyn and Ruth and a much-loved sister. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, extended family circle and friends.
Repsoing at her son’s home, 30, Well Road, Warrenpoint, until removal on Tuesday at 10am arriving at St. Peter’s Church, Warrenpoint for 10.30am Requiem Mass followed by interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk. Donations in lieu of flowers please, to Life and Time.
