The death has occurred of Geraldine Rooney (née Kirk) Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Monaghan, A81 T263 / Louth

The death has occurred of Geraldine Rooney (née Kirk). Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross. 6th November 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her cherished family, at her home.

Predeceased by her husband Brian, her parents Micheal & Dympna and her brother Hugh.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her daughters Mandy & Lorna (Chris) and her son Bernard (Amy), her much-loved grandchildren; Tiernan, Sarah, Mya, Tahlia & Kali, her sister Marion and her brother Raymond, her extended family, friends & neighbours.

Geraldine will repose at her home, Donaghmoyne, A81 T263, on Friday, 7th November from 2pm until 9pm, house private at all other times.

Geraldine's funeral Cortège will leave her home on Saturday, 8th November, proceeding to St. Lastra's Church, Donaghmoyne, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

No flowers, please, donations in lieu, if desired, via donation box c/o Lonergan Funeral Directors or directly to Carrickmacross Cancer Society

The death has occurred of Ellen O'HANLON (MADIGAN) Balregan, Brid-a-Crin, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents Nancy and Danny and brother Richard. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband Paul Madigan, brothers Patrick and Thomas, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk (A91KW52, entrance on Castletown Road) on Friday, November 7th from 3pm-8pm.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8th, proceeding on foot from the family home to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Brid-a-Crin (A91 W308), arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Catherine McATEER Annaverna, Ravensdale, Dundalk, Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her devoted husband Harry and her beloved son Martin. Loving mother to her three surviving sons Bernard, John and James and doting Granny to Laura, Ciara, Abbie, Josh and Adam. She will be sadly missed by her sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Siobhán and Catriona, Bernard’s partner Noreen, James’ partner Deirdre and her children Daegan and Sadhbh, sisters-in-law Kathleen (McFadden) and Mary (Begley) and all of her family and friends at home and across the water.

Reposing at her son Bernard’s home (A91 XH29) on Friday, November 7th from 2pm-8pm. Removal on Saturday, November 8th to St. Mary's Church, Ravensdale (A91 DW68) arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.

A shuttle bus will operate to Bernard’s home from parking at Ravensdale Lodge Equestrian Centre (Eircode A91 VK8P).

The death has occurred of Mary Byrne Mullavally, Louth Village, Louth

Mary Byrne, Mullavally, Louth Village, Dundalk. 6th November, 2025. Peacefully, at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Ardee, aged 100 years. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Alice and her brother Andrew.

Sadly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends and the staff and new found friends in St. Joseph's.

Reposing at Tenanty's Funeral Home, Market Square, Ardee on Saturday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

Removal on Sunday morning at 11.00 am to St. Mary's Church, Knockbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30 am. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.
