Creative Spark are inviting people to join them for their Christmas Open Day, bringing the community together on Saturday, December 13th, from 2pm to 5pm.
The event promises free creative fun for the whole family and a chance to explore everything happening in our building.
It’s also an opportunity to discover what goes on at their community hub and find out which courses and workshops you can sign up for in 2026.
On the day, guests can try their hand at crafting, decorations, hand-printing Christmas cards, and much more. A firm favourite with Dundalk families, Creative Spark's free family fun day makes a welcome return this year.
The Repair Café in the FabLab is also happening on the day!
Bring your broken household items along to our community Repair Café in the FabLab during the Open Day.
Volunteer fixers will help you troubleshoot and repair items with hands-on guidance—it’s a learn-by-doing event, not a drop-off service.
What you can bring (clean & portable):
- Clothing/textiles (small tears, missing buttons)
- Small wooden items (wobbly chairs, toys, frames)
- Small electricals (kitchen appliances—no laptops or large equipment)
- Bicycles (simple repairs)
Simple fixes like gluing
Usually, one item per person is repaired first; you may rejoin the queue if there’s capacity.
Repairs aren’t guaranteed, and some items may be declined for safety or complexity.
