The local community is urged to visit the Market Square in Dundalk this Thursday evening, to join the St Patrick's Scout Group 1st/2nd/5th Louth for their annual Good Deeds Collection.
The event takes place each year, and it sees the scouts bring a small food hamper each to the event which is then distributed to the needy in Dundalk.
This will be the third year the Good Deeds Collection will be taking place at the Market Square, but it has taken place in some form for many years.
Previously, it used to be a Good Deed Mass in St Nicholas' Church. At the mass, the children used to bring a food hamper, where it would be presented at the mass.
St Patrick's Scout Group 1st/2nd/5th Louth add that donations of non perishable food items from the public are welcome on the night.
