A woman has appeared before Dundalk District Court charged in connection with a fatal road crash on the R166 in County Louth last year.

Martina Meehan (56) is accused of dangerous driving causing the death of Arthur Daly at Lynns, Annagassan on July 14th last year.

Sgt. Dave O'Leary, who gave evidence of arresting the defendant at Dundalk Garda Station on Thursday morning, December 18, said Ms. Meehan made no reply when the charge was put to her after caution.

After hearing the DPP has directed trial on indictment, Judge Nicola Andrews remanded the accused on bail on her own bond of €200 and a €2,000 independent surety, with cash to be lodged.
