May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Broderick late of Dundalk, Co Louth, Carrrickmacross, Co Monaghan and Castlerea, Co Roscommon

Peacefully in the kind and gentle care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. Predeceased by his parents Bridget & Malachy, brothers Frank, Malachy & John and sister Agnes. Mick will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his son Luke, Emer, brother Willie, sisters Geraldine & Maureen, Luke’s fiancée Mieke, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Dixons Funeral Home, Maxwell Row, Bridge Street, Dundalk (Eircode A91PV07) on Wednesday evening between 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock for family and friends to call. Mick’s funeral will take place privately as per his wishes.

The death has occurred of Brian P. Clarke of Beechwood Lawn, Dun Laoghaire and of Cortial, Kilkerley, Dundalk (formerly of Dublin County Council)

Peacefully, in his 97th year, in the care of the wonderful team in St Vincent’s Hospital (St Paul’s Ward) following a short illness. He is deeply regretted by his loving wife of over 60 years, Brighid (née Doyle, of Corrigeenroe); his children Catherine, John, Sinéad, Elaine and Gerard; his sister Lena (Sr M. Thérèse); sons-in-law John Markham and Howard Darwen; daughter-in-law Jennie Molphy; grandchildren Daniel, Lucy, Isabelle, Sebastian, and Camilla; sisters-in-law Anne Clarke, Maureen Tarpey and Teeny Doyle; brother-in-law Dominic Dowling; nieces, nephews, and all his extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Thursday to Our Lady of Victories Church, Sallynoggin arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Deans Grange Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Susan Crawley (née McLoughlin) of Hyde Park, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully in the tender care of the wonderful staff at Curam Care Home on Monday 5 January 2026. Predeceased by her husband Mick, baby daughter Alice, grandchildren Barry, Claire, Chloe, Ryan and Lee, parents Sam and Alice, brothers Gerry and Tommy, sisters May Sheeky and Kathleen Walsh, and son-in-law Willie Smith.

Beloved and cherished mother of Margaret Smith, Willie, Carol Smith, Susan Doyle, Barbara McCabe, Marcella Shields, Michelle McLaughlin, Michael, Grainne McGraine, Louise McGeown, David and Conor. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, 40 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, brother Willie and his wife Rose, sons and daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Wednesday from 10am to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning from her home, Hyde Park at 10.40am on foot to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral mass at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. House strictly private please. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Reneé Johnston of Grange Drive, Dundalk, Co Louth

Unexpectedly at home on Sunday 4 January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bernadette and brother Frank. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing son Liam, grandson Archie, sisters and brothers Marie, Bill, Patricia, Jim, Caroline, Martin, Ruth, Nicola and Barbara, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Thursday, January 8th from 3pm-7pm. Removal on Friday, January 9th to the Church of the Holy Family, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The death has occurred of Mary Sands (née McGee) of 82 Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully at home in her 98th year surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday 6 January 2026. Mary, much loved wife of the late Matthew, (1970) dear mother of Ciaran, Ailish, Finbarr, Clodagh and Catherine Quigley, loving granny of Ciara, Nicole, Cliodhna, Matthew, and Grace great granny of Oisin and Senan, and sister of the late Sean and Mother in law of the late Maureen and sister-in-law of the late Josie. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandsons, son-in-law Paul, nephew Aidan, nieces Martha and Celine, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from 2pm until 8pm on Thursday. Removal on Friday morning to The Church of the Immaculate Conception Kilkerley, arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers McGeoughs Funerals.
