A burst water main has caused significant flooding on Quay Street in Dundalk this morning, leading to traffic disruption and reports of water supply issues in the surrounding area.
Councillor Robert Nash said the flooding is occurring outside Kehoe’s Bar and he has been in contact with both Irish Water and Louth County Council.
“I have contacted Irish Water and also Louth County Council regarding a possible road closure,” Councillor Nash said. “I have also received several reports of disruption to water supplies in the area.”

Uisce Éireann have said they have a crew on site working to isolate the burst.
