Entries for the 2026 competition close on Friday, 27th February, and organisers hope to see a wide range of outstanding artwork from across the county.
Young artists from Louth are being invited to take part in a national celebration of creativity as the 72nd Texaco Children’s Art Competition gets underway.
Recognised as Ireland’s longest-running arts sponsorship, the competition has been inspiring children across the country since 1955. Students of all ages are encouraged to showcase their talent and imagination in what has become a cherished national event.
Entries for the 2026 competition close on Friday, 27th February, and organisers hope to see a wide range of outstanding artwork from across the county. Each young artist may submit up to two entries, accompanied by a completed Application Form, which can be downloaded for either schools/art schools or for home entries. Submissions without a fully completed form will not progress to judging.
Artists are also reminded to note any source imagery used in their work, as failure to do so may result in disqualification.
