Government approval of €6.5 million in funding for the construction of a new domestic violence refuge in Dundalk has been described by the CEO of Women's Aid Dundalk, Ann Larkin, as “an amazing investment into safety for women and children”.
Louth County Council has lodged its plans with An Bord Coimisiún for its proposed Ardee 2040 Regeneration Project, to develop a number of projects aimed at supporting regeneration, compact growth and sustainable development in Ardee Town.
Permanent upgrade works at the Cavan Hill Water Treatment Plant have been approved, bringing hopes of a major boost to water quality and tackling brown water issues for Dundalk and surrounding areas.
