No injuries were reported and Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are investigating a fire at McDonald’s at Stapleton Drive which occurred shortly after 5:30am this morning  (Monday 9th March).

Units from Dundalk Fire Service attended the scene and the area was sealed off for a time with motorists asked to avoid the area.

The fire was extinguished by the fire services.

No injuries were reported and Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

A Garda spokesperson said:

“Gardaí are investigating a fire at a commercial premises at Stapleton Drive, Dundalk, Co Louth, which occurred shortly after 5:30am on 9th March 2026.

“The fire was extinguished by the fire services.

“No injuries were reported.

“Investigations ongoing.”
