May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Josephine (Dodo) Carthy (née Smyth) of Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, on 5 April 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Martin (1999). Cherished mother of Aidan, John and Kieran and much-loved grandmother to Sarah, Ellen, Grace, and Róisín and sister of Brian, and the late Maureen, George, Kitty, Noel, Ann and Paddy.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken sons, grandchildren, brother, daughters-in-law Lilian, and Susan, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth and spirited presence.

The death has occurred of Patricia Cluskey (née Murphy) of Castlering, Knockbridge, Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Cúram Care Home, Castletown, Dundalk. Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Moll, sisters Maureen and Kathleen and brother Patsy. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband John, son Niall, daughter-in-law Olive, grandchildren Darragh, Tierna and Cillian, brothers Brendan, Jim, Liam and Michael, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes. Removal on Tuesday 7 April at 11.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Knockbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Stewart (née Chapman) of Mount Avenue, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, on 3 April 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Carlingford Nursing Home, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Douglas (Doug). Cherished mother of Michael and Stephen, much-loved grandmother to Andrea, Conor and Aishling and sister of Eva and late Doris

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken sons, sister, daughters-in-law Mercedes and Karen, grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral, Jocelyn Street A91 XW66 from 3pm until 5pm on Tuesday 7 April.
