The death has occurred of Joey Grant of Bothar na Feirme, Blackrock Road, Dundalk, and formerly Glenmore Park, Dundalk, Co Louth

Unexpectedly on Monday 6 April 2026. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Eileen. Joey will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Shea, brother John, sister-in-law Lorraine, nephews Bobby and Noah, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Burial on Thursday at 12 noon in Kilsaran Old Cemetery. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Josephine (Dodo) Carthy (née Smyth) of Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, on 5 April 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Martin (1999). Cherished mother of Aidan, John and Kieran and much-loved grandmother to Sarah, Ellen, Grace, and Róisín and sister of Brian, and the late Maureen, George, Kitty, Noel, Ann and Paddy.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken sons, grandchildren, brother, daughters-in-law Lilian, and Susan, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at McGoeughs, Funeral home, Jocelyn Street from 4pm until 6pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.40am, to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
