Rising Dundalk artist Joshua King headlines free Spirit Store gig

Hailing from Dundalk, he takes much of his inspiration from the music of his youth with artists such as and , as well as artists from his local area

Joshua King takes to the stage at Backroom @ SpiritStore on Saturday, 11 April 2026, joined by special guest Rory Shaun, with doors open at 8:30pm and free admission for all.

Joshua King is one of the newer rising Irish artists at the minute. Hailing from Dundalk, he takes much of his inspiration from the music of his youth with artists such as and , as well as artists from his local area like David Keenan and Jinx Lennon, mixing both spoken word poetry and rhyme with the musical folk, singer-songwriter sound.

He also draws on more modern pop based artists. Taking inspiration from ’s and 's vocal styles. Joshua's music contains a deep stability in his roots from Folk, Blues while also branching out into the more modern Singer/Songwriter style.

His first single ‘The Caretaker // Questions of Faith’ was first released in November 2025 and his latest single ‘Jupiter Calls’ was released in early March 2026, followed soon after by his Bandcamp single ‘All The Broken Things’.

Joshua is currently working on various different records to release in the future, starting with his EP ‘Anatomy of the Soul’ to be announced very soon.
