May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Noel Marmion of “Glenegad House”, Forkhill Road, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, on 12 April 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Louth County Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen née O’ Hare (July 2011) and parents James and Mary. Cherished father of Patricia (Atlanta, Georgia) and Elaine (Waterford), much-loved Papa to Dearbhla, Caoimhina, Eve, William and B, brother of Desmond (California), Mae Corden (Connecticut) and Brendan (Moorland). 

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his heartbroken daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sister, sons-in-law Peter and Liam, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, warmth and gentle presence.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am from his home to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death has occurred of Nancy McCusker (née McElarney) of McSwiney Street, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, on 12 April 2026, at her home, in the loving care of her devoted family. Beloved wife of Peadar, cherished mother of Lorraine, Jenny, David and Martin, loving grandma of Sarah and Liam, sister of Brian, Patrick, Margaret and the late Briege. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken husband, daughters, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law Rod, brothers, sister, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth and gentle presence.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk, on Tuesday 21st April from 3pm until 5pm. Private cremation will take place on Wednesday 22nd April. The death has occurred of John (Don) McEvoySnr of Aghameen Park, Dundalk, Co Louth and formerly Newry, Co Down

Peacefully at Our lady of Lourdes Hospital on Saturday 11 April 2026. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, and sister May. Beloved dad of Donna, John, Marc and Anthony. Don will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, daughter, daughter-in-law Carla adored grandchildren Calum, Shona, Cole, Caoimhe, Christian, Brian Óg, Amber, Jace, Camden, Madison, Tiernan and Georgia, extended family, neighbours and wonderful friends.

Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.40am from his daughter Donna’s residence, Slieve Foy Park (opposite the old church) proceeding on foot to The Church of the Holy Family, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. House private please. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Rose Kavanagh (née Mohan) of Church View, Dromiskin, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, in recent weeks by her son Paul, her parents and recently by her sister Rita. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken sons and daughters John, Margaret, Peter and Joanne, grandchildren Rachel, Jordan, Dylan, Shauneen, Darren and Baby Naoíse-Rose, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at home for family and neighbours only, on Tuesday 14 April from 2pm-8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.15am, to St. Michael’s Church, Darver, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family and neighbours only, please. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.
