A 40-year-old man accused of seriously assaulting a woman, was given a suspended sentence at Dundalk district court last week. 

Martin Nixon of Doolargy Avenue, Dundalk was charged with assault causing harm arising out of the incident which took place at Doolargy Avenue on March 30th 2024.

Judge Nicola Andrews imposed a four month sentence, which was suspended on the defendant entering a bond to be of good behaviour for 12 months subject to conditions identified in the Probation report.
