The past few years have highlighted the importance of supporting local businesses and shopping local as much as we can.
This Christmas it is more important than ever, and once again Local Enterprise Office Louth and Louth County Council will be running a campaign encouraging people to Look For Local- Look For Louth.
They have a listing on their website https://www.localenterprise.ie/Louth/Enterprise-Development/Shop-Local-Look-for-Louth/ and are encouraging any local businesses with a website to send in details of your business and website address to lookforlocal@leo.louthcoco.ie.
Those who are already listed are encouraged to take some time to check the details are correct.
The option is not just open to retail businesses and is open to services as well so please take a look to see if your business would benefit from being listed.
Louth LEO will be promoting the campaign in local press and on social media and may have an opportunity to feature a few businesses on social media so if you have a short video that might be suitable please send it to the email above using Dropbox , We Transfer or a similar format.
PEACEPLUS action plan 2021-2027
Additionally, Louth LEO have advised that County Louth has been given an indicative allocation of €4.6 million for its PEACEPLUS action plan 2021-2027.
PEACEPLUS is a new European Union funding programme designed to support peace and prosperity across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland, building upon the work of the previous PEACE and INTERREG Programmes.

A Louth PEACEPLUS Partnership has been established to help design the new action plan. As part of this design process, the PEACEPLUS Partnership wants to hear your views on how this resource should be spent in Louth.
A series of public consultations workshops will commence in the week beginning 14th November 2022 and will run until the end of the month.
The workshops aim to identify peacebuilding needs in the community, and to identify project ideas for the PEACEPLUS action plan.
The list of dates and times can be found at:
