Family Addiction Support Network (FASN) who provides support & services to family members and loved ones experiencing substance misuse issues – is expecting hundreds to take part in their 5k & Family Fun Run fundraiser taking place this New Year's Day.
The run, sponsored by Dundalk Credit Union and other local businesses will take place in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The Family Addiction Support Network appeals to young and old to join the 5k & family fun run organised by FASN & An Garda Síochána to raise funds for family support services.
Jackie McKenna, the FASN Project Coordinator, said;
“FASN is proud to partner with An Garda Síochána to host our 2nd annual 5k & Family Fun Run. The run will be a great event and a positive way to start 2023. You can run or walk as suits you best, with friends or family members.”
"In an effort to address a shortfall in funding & maintain our services, the FASN 5K is part of our ongoing fundraising campaign and 100% of the monies raised will fund our services into 2023.
"In addition, we hope to raise awareness of our organisation and the assistance we provide to communities across the Northeast", Jackie added.
To register for the event visit www.fasn.ie or the FASN Facebook page for further details.
A Facebook competition is currently running to promote the event with great prizes to be won.
The event will take place at 12 noon, 1st of January 2023 and the race route will start at the pedestrian walkway beside Friary School, Friary Park, Dundalk, Co. Louth
