St Vincent's Secondary School top feeder school in Dundalk

St Vincent's Secondary School has topped the list of Dundalk secondary schools whose students went onto third level education in Ireland in  2022.

The annual table compiled by the Irish Times shows that 95% of their students went on to third level education in 2021, with DKIT, DCU and UCD the top three choices for students. 

Dundalk Grammar school recorded 92% of students going on to third level with DKIT,  Maynooth and TU Dublin the top choices for students. 

Meanwhile St. Louis Secondary School saw 86% of students opt for third level with DkIT, Trinity College, DCU and TU Dublin the top options for students. 

Similarly, De La Salle Dundalk recorded 86% of students going on to third level with DkIT, Maynooth University and DCU the most popular options.

Elsewhere in the town Colaiste Ris recorded 77% of students choosing to attend third level, 73% of students at the Bush, 67% at St Mary’s college, 63% at O Fiaich College and 61% at Coláiste Chú Chulainn.

In the mid-Louth area Ardee Community School saw 72% of students progress to third level, while Scoil Uí Mhuirí,Dunleer recorded a rate of 65%.

Figures do not take into account students who went on to third level education outside of Ireland.
