‘There’s nothing I consider taboo’: Sexual health consultant joins OnlyFans to offer free educational sex advice

A sexual health consultant and professional bodybuilder has joined OnlyFans to offer free educational sexual health and wellness advice as she wants to create an “inclusive” space on the adults-only platform to discuss topics otherwise considered “taboo”.

Dr Lauren Bull, 41, who lives in Surrey, said she loves finding “novel ways of talking about sex” and she described her role as “cutting through the bull****”.

She believes “knowledge is power”, particularly when it comes to sexual health and wellness – with topics she has been open to discussing including safe anal sex, masturbation, penis size, and whether ejaculate “tastes different” depending on what you eat.

Lauren has often seen content about sex being taken down on social media, so with a passion for helping and educating others, she looked for alternative ways to share this information – and this led her to launch her OnlyFans profile on Valentine’s Day.

From videos tackling sexual health topics, or subscriber Q&As, Lauren said she is happy to discuss anything on the platform famed for pornographic content – but she will not be providing a “medical service” or posting any nudes or adult content.

“I am open to being asked anything… but at no point am I modelling myself as a ‘sexpert’,” Lauren told PA Real Life.

“You’re not going to get blow job techniques from me, or anything like that, my role is educational.”

Her content is free and open to anyone on the adults-only platform and she is encouraging her followers to suggest topics they would like to hear more about.

Lauren said sexual health is her “absolute passion” and she wants to ensure this “vital information is available to everyone”.

“Part of our job (as sexual health consultants) is reaching some of the most vulnerable members of society and engaging stigmatised groups of people,” Lauren said.

“We will go into brothels and sex on premises venues and outreach homeless people, drugs and alcohol services – wherever it is that we might be needed.

“So to me, this is no different to a form of outreach… I just think of it (OnlyFans) as an educational platform.”

Lauren has worked as a consultant in genitourinary medicine and HIV for many years, sharing vital information about sexual health and wellness and busting myths online.

Outside of work, she is a professional bodybuilder who has won the title of Pro UK Bikini Model Champion and a mother-of-three with a rigorous schedule working, training and looking after her family.

The Imperial College London graduate has always loved “learning” and has countless qualifications, even in pilates, but her main passion is sex education and teaching it to the masses.

“I love finding novel ways of talking about sex,” Lauren said.

“We live in a society where we’re utterly exposed to sex everywhere, all the time, and yet we still live under this taboo of, ‘We shouldn’t discuss this or that’.”

Lauren described herself as a “natural communicator” and said she has a knack for talking “freely and plainly” about topics that might be embarrassing or cringey to others – such as orgasms, squirting, and penis size.

However, through her work she has found that sex education is often only reduced to discussions around preventing pregnancy or STIs and STDs, rather than promoting “the positive side”.

Since content about sex is often taken down online, Lauren started considering alternative ways to talk openly about sexual health, without restrictions, and this led to the launch of her OnlyFans profile.

“Even just being able to say the word ‘orgasm’, or ‘anal sex’, you’re automatically going to be taken off most social media platforms,” Lauren said.

“With OnlyFans, it’s an adults-only platform, so you can be happy that you’re hitting your target audience… it just made sense to me.”

She added: “I think it’s important to make sure that the education and how people talk and feel about sex keeps up with what everyone is exposed to.

“There are, obviously, a lot of adult performers on OnlyFans as well, so I think it’s an entirely appropriate platform to be talking about people’s relationships and sex.”

Lauren said she will not be posting any “spicy” content, but rather she will use her page to educate and inform others about sexual health and wellness, and fitness.

She said she will discuss “literally anything and everything”, and Lauren has already posted information about HIV, masturbation, and foreskin, along with some other “frivolous” content.

“One of the questions I’m asked is whether ejaculate tastes different depending on whether you’re eating different things,” Lauren said.

“As far as I’m concerned, I will talk about anything – whether it’s anatomy, the clitoris, sexual function or dysfunction, porn, worries about porn consumption, or healthy relationships.

“I’m happy to consider most things… and I like to consider my role as cutting through the bull****.”

With Lauren’s experience in holistic medicine as well, she is aiming to offer well-rounded and “honest” advice in a space where everyone is welcome.

“My page is completely all-inclusive. I’m not talking to a particular type of person – we’re talking all genders, all races, all sexualities,” she said.

“I don’t have a target demographic, if you’re human, I’m talking to you.”

Lauren’s mission is “helping people”, and now, more than ever, she feels it is important to consider how the internet can be used to positively impact people’s sexual health education.

“If you have a genuine question, or there’s something worrying you, I would rather you ask me… there is nothing that I consider to be taboo.

“All I want to do is help people, so if I feel like I’m doing that, then happy days.”
