Mazda has announced that the new CX-5 has gone on sale priced from £31,550.
The CX-5 is one of the Japanese firm’s best-selling models, with more than 105,000 units sold in the UK alone since its original launch in 2012.
The latest car will be available in four trims: Prime-Line, Centre-Line, Exclusive-Line and Homura.
The entry-level Prime-Line gains a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 12.3-inch infotainment system, while higher-spec Exclusive-Line models are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations and come with a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system and a panoramic sunroof.
Flagship Homura models come in at £40,950 and boast further kit such as interior ambient lighting as well as optional black and tan leather seat upholstery.
All models are hooked up to a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated ‘e-Skyactiv G’ petrol engine with 24-volt mild-hybrid technology. It produces a total of 139bhp and 238Nm of torque, while the front-wheel drive model reaches 60mph in 10.3 seconds. Power is transmitted through a standard automatic transmission with no manual option available.
The new CX-5 uses Mazda’s ‘Kodo Soul of Motion’ design language, while it also has a 115mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor, increasing interior space for occupants.
Orders are open now, with deliveries expected to commence in the summer of this year.
