Renault has revealed the R4 Roland-Garros edition as it announces a new partnership with the Roland-Garros French Open tennis tournament.
The French firm revealed the R5 Roland-Garros edition last year, and this year, the R4 has been given a tennis-inspired makeover.
The R4 Roland-Garros is painted in Glacier White, contrasted with black side pillars and roof arches, silver trim on the front wings with a Roland-Garros logo, 18-inch black diamond-cut wheels with a smoked varnish finish and Terracotta Brown wheel hubs and bumper trims.
Its exterior also boasts the firm’s ‘Plein Sud’ electric canvas sunroof, which can open up to 92cm in length.
The cabin features custom light grey front and rear upholstery made from recycled materials with a graphic weave to look like sportswear. The backrests of the front seats feature a heat-embossed Roland-Garros logo, while the seat side bolsters and centre armrest are finished off in a blue textile material.
There are inserts found on the lower dashboard strip, front and rear door panels that match the seat fabric with a blue textile finish, while a small French flag is on the dashboard.
Meanwhile, the dashboard also includes a metal, vertical strip that has a backlit area displaying the name ‘Roland-Garros Paris’, and the gear selector has been inspired by the grip of a tennis racket.
Other exclusive details include a clay-coloured wireless charging pad, floor mats and brushed aluminium door sills that display ‘Roland-Garros Paris.’
The Renault 4 Roland-Garros edition will be available to order in the autumn, though the manufacturer has not revealed prices or availability at this stage.
