KGM Musso Rhino set to debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show

KGM has announced that it will introduce a new diesel variant of the Musso pick-up with the Rhino.

KGM, formerly known as SsangYong, is a Korean manufacturer that produces affordable, dependable family SUVs and commercial vehicles, and the Musso is one of its longest-serving models.

The Musso Rhino pick-up will sit above the Rebel and Saracen variants and features a new front-end design, chunky wheel arch extensions with built-in deflectors and silver roof rails.

Interior images have not been revealed, but the manufacturer says that the Musso Rhino has an “upgraded interior that focuses on improved materials, smarter technology integration and a more refined driving environment.”

Under the bonnet, the truck will use KGM’s ‘e-XDi’ 2.2-litre diesel engine that is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that is capable of towing up to 3,500kg and has a payload of up to 1,000kg. Powertrain figures have not been revealed, with further details to be announced next week.

The truck will also be equipped with a limited-slip differential, a four-wheel drive system and lots of advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, a 3D surround-view monitor and traffic sign recognition.

The KGM Musso Rhino will make its debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, Birmingham, taking place from April 21 to April 23.
