Mini has partnered up with Vagabund to create two unique Mini Countrymans that have been inspired by festival culture and music.
Vagabund is an Austrian design studio that specialises in turning cars and motorcycles into unique creations and the two Mini Countrymans are its latest project.
The collaboration starts with Mini supplying the Countryman platform, while Vagabund is responsible for designing the more rugged off-road look and bespoke sound system that is fitted to both cars.
The vehicles feature reworked wheel arches, creating a wider stance, colour-coded bumpers, the side sills feature ‘Vagabund’ lettering; there are 20-inch wheels and closed-off 3D-printed wheel cover designs.
On top, there is a roof rack with three laser-cut and folded aluminium plates, complemented by an integrated stainless-steel mesh open surface. The design visually mimics the look of speaker covers to turn the roof rack into an in-built design element.
These creative Mini Countrymans are all about music, which is why both cars have had their side windows removed and been replaced with a specially developed sound system designed for outdoor events, such as a festival.
There are tweeters and mid-range speakers integrated into the bodywork and an additional subwoofer located in the rear, which gives a clearer sound when the tailgate is open.
On the opposite side, there is a Walkman integrated into the window housing to give a more analogue music approach.
Unfortunately, both Mini Countrymans are concepts with no plans to put the vehicles into production.
