Sir Elton John’s Rolls-Royce Phantom VI goes on sale at prestigious Salon Prive event

A Rolls-Royce Phantom VI formerly owned by rockstar legend, Sir Elton John, has gone up for sale at the prestigious Salon Privé event, Blenheim Palace.

Salon Privé is one of the UK’s most iconic and concours car events of the year, and the Rolls-Royce is being sold by supercar dealer, Tom Hartley.

The car was registered in 1972 and was sold to the rockstar in 1973. It was used to chauffeur the singer around and remained in his collection of Bentleys and Rolls-Royces.

In terms of history, the car has covered around 50,000 miles and is backed up with a full service history from John Barclay Bentley.

The car was later sold to a Russian billionaire, who paid £200,000 at auction, before spending a further £200,000 on a full restoration with John Barclay Bentley.

Hartley told CarDealer magazine: “This Rolls-Royce Phantom VI is of incredible value and a great investment for whoever buys it. There is no doubt it is the best example in the world and the most famous Rolls-Royce Phantom VI.”

Sir Elton John’s Rolls-Royce Phantom VI will be on display at the Salon Privé event until April 18 and will be available to buy with a price tag of £299,950.
