Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt attend Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere

Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep wowed in bold red gowns while Emily Blunt wore an elegant Schiaparelli ensemble as the trio attended the Devil Wears Prada 2 world premiere.

The Hollywood stars, who will reprise their roles in the eagerly anticipated sequel to the 2006 cult classic film, reunited on the red carpet on Monday alongside co-stars including award-winning actor Stanley Tucci.

Oscar-winning actress Hathaway stepped on to the red carpet in a vivid Louis Vuitton silk bustier gown, with pleated cones inserted around the skirt, paired with matching platform heels.

The 43-year-old stars in the upcoming film as Andy Sachs, the former assistant of formidable editor Miranda Priestley (Streep), who is the new features editor of the fictional Runway magazine.

Hathaway decorated the sleek outfit with chunky, sparkling gold bracelets and ornate dangling earrings.

Her brightly coloured ensemble was a nod to her outfit at the premiere for the original film almost 20 years ago, where she wore a simple long red gown, with a low neck.

Award-winning actress Streep joined Hathaway on the red carpet at the event in New York, wowing crowds in a red Givenchy cape, which she accessorised with black gloves, heels and sunglasses.

Oscar nominee Blunt, who stars in the film as former magazine assistant Emily Charlton, wore an eye-catching, sculpted Schiaparelli white gown with a bold, tiered skirt to the premiere.

The 43-year-old accessorised the ensemble with a pearl necklace and bracelet, slicked back her hair, and wore bold make-up including a dark red lip.

Blunt was joined at the event by her husband, actor and filmmaker John Krasinski, who wore a black velvet suit.

Tucci, who plays magazine art director Nigel Kipling in the film, similarly wore a velvet black jacket, which he paired with a simple white shirt, a grey tie and black trousers.

Others in attendance included US pop star Lady Gaga, known for hits including Paparazzi and Just Dance, who wore a black Saint Laurent gown with a flared skirt.

Vogue global editorial director Dame Anna Wintour, who is widely believed to be the inspiration for Streep’s character in the film, was also at the star-studded affair.

She wore a brightly coloured patterned dress and a long navy coat, and was joined by her daughter, film producer Bee Shaffer, and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Cordry.

TV personality Heidi Klum stunned in a blue, loosely fitted floor-length dress, while her long hair was styled in natural beachy waves.

Musician Mark Ronson opted for a simple look, with an all-black suit and matching shirt, and was joined by American actress Grace Gummer, who wore an all-white textured playsuit.

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley wore a vibrant satin green Prada mini dress, which she accessorised with silver closed-toe heels, simple jewellery and light make-up.

Actor Dylan Sprouse was pictured wearing a classic black suit and white shirt, joined by his wife Barbara, who similarly wore a white shirt, paired with a navy blazer and a black fringed skirt.
