Adele sends Rachel Chinouriri flowers to celebrate her Brit Award nominations

Rising star Rachel Chinouriri has thanked Adele for sending her flowers in celebration of her Brit Award nominations.

Singer-songwriter Chinouriri, 26, who is supporting Sabrina Carpenter on the European leg of her tour this year, secured two nods on Thursday, one for artist of the year and the other for best new artist.

On Friday, she shared a photo of a bouquet of pink flowers with a message that read: “Congratulations on your Brit nominations Rachel.

“I’m so happy for you and can’t wait to come to a show, lots of love, Adele.”

Chinouriri joked “I need a week to recover” and captioned the post: “THANK YOU.”

Grammy-winning singer Adele has won a slew of Brit Awards in her time, including British album of the year in 2012, 2016 and in 2022, all for albums she named after her age at the time of writing.

Chinouriri released her debut studio album, What A Devastating Turn Of Events, last year containing songs including, It Is What It Is, and Never Need Me, which has a music video featuring the actress Florence Pugh.

Alternative pop singer Charli XCX leads the pack at the Brit Awards this year with five nominations while The Beatles are up for a prize for the first time since 1977.
