UK Eurovision entry Look Mum No Computer congratulated after birth of baby

British Eurovision entry Look Mum No Computer has been congratulated on the birth of his baby.

The singer and electronic musician, whose real name is Sam Battle, announced the birth with a picture of his child, named Max, wearing a yellow hat.

In the post, he said: “Speak soon everyone. Max born today happy healthy Back on it soon. Take care.”

Look Mum No Computer will perform his song Eins, Zwei, Drei, at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria in May.

Congratulating the singer, BBC Eurovision said: “A huge congratulations to UK Eurovision act Sam Battle and his wife on the birth of baby Max born yesterday.”

He was also congratulated by Belgian entrant Essyla, whose real name is Alice Van Eesbeeck, who commented on Instagram: “Most adorable baby ever seen.”

Born in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Look Mum No Computer, who started his career on YouTube in 2013, has become known for his videos about making and playing unusual electronic music equipment.

The singer has since amassed more than 85 million views and 1.4 million combined subscribers and followers across his various social accounts.

He has made an organ out of Furby toys, fused a synthesiser with a Raleigh Chopper bicycle and made a triple oscillator synthesiser out of Nintendo Game Boy video games consoles.

A video for his Eurovision song sees Look Mum No Computer in a messy office setting wearing a suit, before ditching his workplace for a giant electronic soundboard as he sings about “coming back to life”.

The 70th edition of the Eurovision final will take place at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle, after Austrian entry JJ won in 2025 with his song Wasted Love, on Saturday May 16.

The contest’s semi-finals will take place on May 12 and 14, with the final and semi-finals broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer, as well as BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
