A father of two who was engaged to be married and died in a tragic workplace accident has been named locally as Anthony Devlin.
A native of Buncrana, Co Donegal, Mr Devlin passed away on Tuesday, July 9. It is understood that he sustained fatal injuries while carrying out mechanical work.
“The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem will take place in due course,” a spokesperson from An Garda Siochana said. “The HSA (Health Safety Authority) has been notified and is conducting their own investigation.”
Mr Devlin was aged in his 30s, was a father of two and was engaged to be married.
Condolences have been shared on RIP.ie, with many noting how lovely he was as a person.
Mr Devlin will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving fiancé Grainne, his cherished sons Joe and Odhran, his loving parents Philip and Una, his siblings, granny Annie Devlin, wider family, neighbours and many friends.
