Gardai are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage to come forward
A teenage boy has died following a road collision in County Kilkenny.
The 14-year-old was travelling on an e-scooter when he was involved in a collision with a car on the Tullaroan Road at Ardboy, Bonnettstown, around 7km outside Kilkenny city.
It's understood the driver of the car remained at the scene following the incident, which happened shortly before 7pm on Satuurday.
The injured boy was treated at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny for his injuries but later died from his injuries.
A post mortem examination is expected to take place later today.
Gardai have launched an investigation and they are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday and who have dashcam footage to contact them at Kilkenny garda station.
