Rhasidat Adeleke is through to the women's 400m final after coming second in her semi-final heat this Wednesday night.
The Tallaght racer took second place, behind Salwa Eid Naser of Team Bahrain, in the first of the three women's 400m semi-finals at the Stade de France earlier this evening, Wednesday August 7.
She progresses alongside the top two in each of the three heats, plus the two fastest losers, to the final race on Friday night.
Clocking in a time of 49.95, Adeleke ranks sixth fastest of the eight finalists, which include world champion Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic, USA's Alexis Holmes, European champion Natalia Kaczmarek of Poland and Great Britain's Amber Anning.
