Woman arrested over investigation into alleged harassment of Simon Harris

A woman in her 50s has been arrested over an investigation into alleged harassment of Taoiseach Simon Harris.

Gardaí arrested the woman this Thursday morning for alleged offences contrary to Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act, as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged harassment of Simon Harris on May 2.

The woman, aged in her 50s, is currently detained at a Garda Station in County Wicklow under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A garda spokesperson said there will be no further comment at this time.

A group of protestors gathered outside Mr Harris' house in Co Wicklow on May 2.

Speaking at the time of the incident, Mr Harris said that the behaviour exhibited in front of his home was "intimidating" and that people's families and their homes should be "out of bounds".
