A learner driver has been caught by gardaí for speeding under the influence.
Sharing a post to X, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Our Roads Policing Unit from Dublin Castle were on patrol of the M50 when this car whizzed past at speed.

"The driver was stopped on the N7 and we realised that he was an unaccompanied learner.
"He also tested positive for cocaine on a roadside drug test."
