Man arrested after major cannabis haul during 'stop and search' operation

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized drugs worth €200,000 as part of searches in Dublin this Friday.

Gardaí attached to the Coolock Drugs Unit stopped and searched a vehicle in Dublin 17, during the course of which €200,000 of suspected cannabis was seized earlier this Friday, September 20.

The drugs will now undergo analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

A man (40s) was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin area under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigations are ongoing according to a statement from gardaí.
