The security costs for the Europa League Final match between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen amassed to €7.12 million to An Garda Síochánna, when the teams met in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin last May. An Garda Síochánna is not seeking recoupment from UEFA.

Following a parliamentary question asked by Deputy Jim O'Callaghan to Minister for Justice Helen McEntee to costs were revealed.
Minister for Justice said: "I am advised by the Garda authorities that €7.12 million is the cost incurred to date by An Garda Síochána in relation to the UEFA Europa League Final. This cost figure is operational and subject to change."
Speaking on if An Garda Síochánna will seek recoupment from UEFA she the Minister said: "For your information no recoupment from UEFA is being sought by An Garda Síochána. A letter of assurance was provided to UEFA that the State would cover costs incurred by An Garda Síochána for the Europa League Final."
