Major road near busy Dublin hospital blocked as firefighters tackle Coolock car blaze

A major road in north Dublin is blocked, as firefighters and emergency services rush to deal with a vehicle on fire on Monday morning.

Footage shared online by Dublin Fire Brigade shows firefighters and gardaí at the scene, as a car can be seen in the middle of the road engulfed in flames.

"Kilmore Road in Beaumont is temporarily blocked as we deal with a vehicle fire," Dublin Fire Brigade said in a statement.

The road, situated between Beaumont Hospital and Coolock, is a busy one, and the fire appears to have broken out close to residential buildings.

It has not yet been confirmed if there were any injuries in the fire.
