Revenue officers have seized cocaine and herbal cannabis worth more that €500,000 at Dublin Airport this week.
In separate operations at Dublin Airport, Revenue officers seized 1.65kgs of cocaine and 22.5kgs of herbal cannabis, with a combined value of €565,000.
The cocaine, with an estimated value of €115,000, was discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Paris, France.

The herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €450,000, was discovered, with the assistance of detector dog Jack, when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Ibiza, Spain.

Two men in their 30’s were arrested by An Garda Síochána, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 in connection with these seizures.
Both individuals have since appeared before the courts, and investigations are ongoing.
These seizures are part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
