The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a recall notice for batches of a popular lunchtime staple amid health fears following contaminated batches containing small pieces of metal.

The alert was issued on Tuesday October 1st for the Marks and Spencer's product.

Marks and Spencer is recalling a batch of their Smooth Butternut Squash Soup due to possible presence of small pieces of metal.

"Marks & Spencer is recalling the above batch of its Smooth Butternut Squash Soup due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale."

The batches that have possibly been affected by the contamination are listed below.
