The woman was taken to St James’ Hospital shortly after the incident on the Davitt Road in Inchicore shortly after 8pm.

A woman has been hospitalised following a road traffic collision on the Davitt Road in Inchicore, Dublin 8 on Wednesday evening.

The incident happened on the Davitt Road in Inchicore just after 8pm. It involved a female pedestrian and a car, Gardaí have confirmed.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident and the pedestrian was taken to St James’ Hospital for treatment.

Davitt Road has since reopened following the incident but Naas Road remains very slow through Bluebell towards Davitt Road.

Drimnagh Road is also a lot busier than usual due to people diverting away from Naas Road.

"Gardaí and emergency services responded to a road traffic collision on the Davitt Road in Inchicore, Dublin 8 on Wednesday evening, 9th October 2024," a Garda spokesperson said.

The collision, involving a car and a female pedestrian, occurred shortly after 8pm".
