Storm Ashley update: Thousands lose power around the country here's when it's likely to be restored

Approximately 1,300 ESB customers have woken up to power outages but it will not be out for long

Thousands of homes and businesses in several parts of the country, including Finea, Roscrea, Edenderry, Creeslough and Kilkee among many others have woken up to power outages as Storm Ashley rages on.

Castlerea, Trim and Mallow have also been impacted in the early hours of this Sunday morning, October 20.

Faults are expected to be restored throughout the day with affected Creeslough customers expected to have their electricity back by 8.45am today while Finea and Roscrea should have power restored by 12pm.

Kilkee customers should have their electricity restored by 11.30am.

All members of the public are being advised to avoid coastal areas during Storm Ashley's presence due to gale force winds and drivers are strongly urged to take extra caution due to fallen trees and damaged powerlines.
