RIP: Gardaí stand down search for missing man (32) as body is found in tragic update
A Garda missing persons appeal for a young man from Kildare has been stood down after the discovery of a body.
Gardaí issued the tragic update via a statement on Saturday as they thanked the public for their assistance.
"Following the discovery of a male body earlier today in Naas, Co. Kildare, the missing person appeal for Jamie O'Keefe, 32 years, who was reported missing from Naas, Co. Kildare on Monday 21st October 2024, has been stood down," the statement read.

"No further media action is required and no additional information is available at this time.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter," a spokesperson concluded.
