The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued a recall on The Works Halloween projector torch.
Due to a short circuit within the product, it can become hot to the touch and overheat. This causes the bottom of the torch to melt, meaning someone who uses it may very well sustain burns.
The torch is described as being black and orange, with approximately 82 of these products being purchased in the Republic of Ireland alone.
The CCPC are urging people stop using the product and keep out of reach of children.

The product can be returned to any of The Works stores for a full refund.
The brand is The Works – Make & Create. The model is HAL24. The batch number is 173578. The bar code is 5052089358256. The item number is SWT034.

The Works is a discount retailer, which sells books, art and craft materials, gifts, toys, games, and stationary.
The UK chain, which also operates online, has five stores throughout Ireland, with four being in Dublin and one in Limerick City Centre, which opened in July of this year.
