PICTURES: Team Ireland's Olympic heroes and partners step out in style to centenary ball

Over 700 guests, including almost 300 of Ireland’s Olympic heroes, stepped out in style to the Clayton Hotel, Dublin on Saturday night for a special Centenary Olympic Ball to honour our athletes.

Toasting the achievements of Irish athletes from this year’s Paris Olympics right through to the team’s first appearance in 1924, the unique event was attended by almost 300 Olympians from various sports and years, along with their partners, families, sponsors and key stakeholders. 

Olympians David Gillick and Greg O’Shea were MCs on what was a significant night for Irish sport. Sportsfile were on hand to capture the atmosphere.
