Ten people, including two teenagers and a young child, died in the explosion, just over two years ago
Gardai have released a man who was being questioned about an explosion in Creeslough, County Donegal in 2022 in which ten people died.
The man, aged in his 60s, was arrested on Thursday morning after he voluntarily presented himself at a garda station County Louth.
In a statement, a garda spokesperson confirmed he was arrested "for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997."
Following his arrest, the man was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in the Garda North Western Region and gardai have now confirmed that he has since been released.
"The man, aged in his 60s, (who was) arrested in connection with this investigation has been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions," read a brief statement, issued this Friday morning.
Ten people, including two teenagers and a young child, died in the explosion in Creeslough, County Donegal, on October 7, 2022. Four men and three women also died in the blast.
They were Robert Garwe and his five-year-old daughter Shauna Flanagan Garwe, Catherine O'Donnell and her 13-year-old son James Monaghan, Jessica Gallagher, Martin McGill, James O'Flaherty, Martina Martin, Hugh Kelly and 14-year-old Leona Harper.

Gardaí say the investigation, which is being overseen by a Senior Investigating Officer, is ongoing, with an incident room established at Milford garda station.
"The investigation continues to be led by local gardaí in the Donegal Division, supported by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and other agencies including the Health & Safety Authority and the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities.
