As the Country goes to the polls for the 2024 General Election, Carlow woman, Bridget Delaney, has done so on an incredible day for her. Her 100th Birthday!
In a piece done by Virgin Media News on X, which shows Mrs Delaney proudly walking to the polling station and casting her vote, something she says she has done her whole life.

Speaking then to Virgin Media News Mrs Delaney said:
"It is very important to vote, I have loved voting all my life."
With the staff inside the polling station even singing her a rendition of Happy Birthday. When asked how she was going to celebrate her big birthday Mrs Delany said. "I am celebrating in here, everyone is so kind!"
