Warning over sinister courier delivery scam doing rounds before Christmas
Irish people are being warned over a sinister courier delivery scam doing the rounds in the run-up to Christmas.
Households across the country have received the fake DHL missed delivery notices in recent days as thousands are expecting their last few Christmas deliveries.
The notice urges people to follow a dodgy link to re-arrange their missed delivery. DHL have issued a statement to confirm the notices are fraudulent. You can see the dodgy notice below:
In a statement, they said: "We’re aware of social media and WhatsApp messages circulating today about a potential DHL “Not Home” card scam involving our On Demand Delivery service.

"Our couriers in Ireland DO leave official cards (see example below) when no one is home to accept a delivery. These cards include a QR code for rescheduling your delivery.

"Scanning this QR code should redirect you to: https://ondemand.dhl.com/prg/on-demand-delivery.xhtml....
"Alternatively, typing DHL.ie/ondemand in your browser will direct you to the same link.
"If you’re directed to a different address or encounter cards that don’t match our sample, do not interact with them.
Stay vigilant and thank you for trusting DHL!"
