Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm in Dublin on Friday night.
The alarm was raised at around 9.15 after reports were received of a shot being fired in the Shancastle Close/Shancastle Avenue area of Clondalkin.
"A man, aged in 20s, subsequently presented at Connolly Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries," said a garda spokesperson who added that the scene has since been examined by the local Scenes of Crime Unit.
